Location sensors

Location sensors status: August 25, 2016 (continued)

We are currently of the opinion that we need quite a diverse lattice of

location sensors on each student and that the smart garment these sensors

are embedded in should be relatively easy to change, somewhat resistant

to everyday wear, and able to be laundered at least once in a while. In the

sketch below red stars indicate a location sensor sending along a sensor

ID, a timestamp including fractions of a second (we think tenths is

enough precision) and x, y, z coordinates. At this time, no plans to add a

a sensor near the chin to check how exposed the neck is, and no plans to

have sensors in the heels to check if they are or are not in contact with the

ground.
