Wau-en-Namus (also Waw an Namous or Uaw en Namus) is at 24.91 N,
17.76 E. The principle feature is a 4 kilometer wide caldera which has an
oasis of rich foliage and three small salt lakes of variable color. A volcanic
field of dark basaltic tephra flow extends 10–20 kilometers around the
caldera and allows it to be easily seen from space. There are visible sulphur
deposits. Eruption history is unknown and merits more study.
