Not lacking in nerves, GM Rodríguez Vila declines to exchange pawns at f4, and, instead,
counters by advancing his once backward c pawn again to the red outlined square where it
threatens the White knight. This is grandmaster chess, so the White attack continues with
another advance by the f pawn attacking Black's bishop and continuing to threaten to open the f
file for White's major piece battery. Pawns are exchanged and Black elects to move his bishop
out of harm's way. Note that the Black bishop was the closest defender for the Black king and is
now on the run itself. White attacks it with his rook on move 28.
