Wuji breathing as taught by
Grandmaster Cai Songfang is an adjunct to standing meditation
and is detailed in the book Wuji Breathing Exercises from Plum
Publications (www.plumpub.com). His breathing exercises
include one basic and five advanced hand/arm configurations.
The latter include Jinggang, Pure Yin, Pile, and two versions
of Pure Yang styles. Originally, the material was collected
for the benefit of medical patients recovering from major
health events. Then it was discovered or reaffirmed that the
practices were also beneficial when it came to avoding major
threats to health. The breathing and standing that will be
taught and done has been slightly modified in acknowledgement
of the students. |
