Chen Family style Tai Chi Chuan - beginners
Tools - Tai Chi ruler - comments on origins
The tai chi ruler and a ghost head broadsword. Of all the swords and sabers I own (a lot, I am a little
ashamed to say) the ghost head has the roundest handle. I am unable to think of a reason for this,
especially since the blade is most dangerous only in one direction. Not that I would relish being hit
with the back edge of the blade, especially if was recently sharpened. I don't know anyone who is
knowledgeable about the ghost head. I don't even know what art it is from. Offhand, my feeling
is the handle might be heavier than most to help with balance, but more weight could be achieved
other ways, so I believe the handle is incorrectly engineered. Note that the handle has a slight curve
unlike the tai chi ruler.
