Here is a photo showing contact with a circle of points in the palm. Note: for those doing Iron Palm

exercises for most people the area of the palm covered by the end of the tai chi ruler WILL impact

the canvas bag during a palm strike - but a split-second later than the outer circle of the palm.

Be aware that my left (far) hand is open here only for purposes of illustration.
