| Printers, Ink and Paper | ||
| We have a label printer and a typical desktop printer. Somewhat ironically, the label printer gets used more often to | ||
| produce adhesive labels for videos, DVD and duffle bags. Check that your label printer works with your computer's | ||
| operating system and that it uses a supported port (probably USB). Software will need to be installed. | ||
| We have not had much need to do color printing so we tend to use black ink cartridges up more frequently. You may wish | ||
| copy functions (handy if you have to send paper notices home), scan functions (once in a while in lieu of taking a picture), | ||
| FAX functions (still popular with our 20th century government agencies) and support for printing envelopes and sizes of paper | ||
| other than 8.5" x 11". As with the labelprinter and really any device, check that the printer works with your computer's | ||
| operating system and that it uses a supported port (probably USB). Software MAY need to be installed. We prefer 24 pound | ||
| white paper - we have not found any particular use for colored paper. | ||
