A little of what used to be called Theory of Equations:

1. If one graphs X and Y from the equation Y = A * X + B usually one sees the
familiar  straight line. For now, we'll skip over exotic geometries which don't
have straight lines.

2. Now, if we complicate matters a little we can add a dimension and form
an equation that looks like Y = A* X * X + B * X + C. Depending on the
relationships between A, B and C this equation might graph as
