Poverty and Unemployment

Most governments in the world do not care if unemployment is zero, three or six percent. That is because the people who should care are employed. Generally, unemployment rates between seven and twelve percent show a government is incompetent. It is therefore common for bumbling governments to try and understate how bad things really are. Venezuela's official rate is well above FIFTEEN percent. What is it really? I don't know and I doubt anyone else does either. We should take a nationwide survey using our inadequate cell phones and publish the results on internet, no matter how much it hurts. And we should keep asking and publishing until everyone who wants to is working. How can one Venezuelan worker in 6 - about two million people - not have a job? Worse, almost one Venezuelan in two works AND STILL LIVES IN POVERTY.
