Financials

Not so good for us - the amounts described as reserves of gold and foreign currencies do not show how much of the reserves are gold and other valuable commodities, and how much are foreign currencies. If you think our re-valued bolivars are not very welcome here, you'll not be surprised to hear they are almost useless overseas. The reason no one wants our bolivars is the same reason our foreign exchange management professionals do not want Iranian currency the value might suddenly go down. Our currency could fall faster and further down than a waterfall. And then what? Could we learn to eat crude oil? It is at the very least reasonable to ask for internet pages updated monthly that explain who Venezuela owes money to, how much and what for, as well as what reserves we have.  After all, governments are just stewards. It is our money. And our children's money.
