If anyone has looked for evidence of historical tsunamis flowing up rivers in France please
contact us.

We are particularly interested in the Seine as it has outrageous curves, AND after a tsunami
wrecks Le Havre, it seems like Rouen is a rich and reachable target. Thankfully, the Paris
metropolitan area with almost 12 million people looks to be out of range.

As it is, an Atlantic Ocean event similar to Lisbon 1755 but more to the north so that waves
rumble up the English Channel provides quite a collection of French ports and reactors to
damage or destroy. There's something of an asymmetry: relative to a reasonably close North
Sea event, an Atlantic event will threaten the Bay of Biscay coast and one extra power
plant, plus it will have a better "attack angle" along the Channel on several ports.
