Using Berlin 1949 as a basis, any
remaining functional airports
would have to handle 200 flights
of C-130J transports per day just
to sustain Israel itself. That
leaves challenges for coastal
areas belonging to Egypt
(Mediterranean, Red Sea and
Gulf of Aqaba), Jordan, Lebanon,
Cyprus, Gaza Strip and Syria. Of
concern is where the supplies are
being flown from. Note that the
C-130 required 10 man-hours of
maintenance for each flight hour.
This is not the admiral's problem although he will almost certainly need to coordinate airspace, fuel and runways.
