for Haiti is that while the
Windward Passage
between Haiti and Cuba is
heavily used by ships it is
wide and deep so the
chances of tsunami
damage to vessels are slim
hence the absence from the
list. Worse, Cuba's eastern
coast is not the home of a
bustling inter-modal port.
One or more tsunamis
slamming into Haiti
western shores would be
disastrous for Haiti but
would have no economic
effect on anyone else.
