| We note in passing that normally we name applications for living antelopes. Hexameryx is a fossil antilocaprid discovered in Florida - the only living relatives are North American pronghorns which are not antelopes but are actually related to giraffes and okapis. Hexameryx is unique - the only six-horned animal we are aware of. We had wanted to replace all rectangular areas displayed by the application with hexagons but eventually abandoned the notion. |
