Red-tinted lenses for blue light blocking
glasses with red lenses
These are from SafetyBlue. They block 99.9% of blue and green light. This supposed to reduce insomnia and decrease the
need for melatonin supplements while improving circadian rhythm and reducing sleep disruption. We do NOT have a
really reliable way to measure how deep the sleep is, but these lenses are supposed to help with that as well. Some of our
students who have seizures triggered by glare, bright light and other similar effects wear these glasses. Might be useful
for jet lag - if anyone ever takes long airplane flights again. As far as we know, also UV-400. The recommendations have
been to wear the glasses whenever there are bright lights and for 1 to 3 hours before sleep is desired. About $56
