Oranged-tinted lenses for blue light blocking |
|
Pictured above are some of the earliest products (still
available today) in the blue light blocking spectrum. You will
want to determine |
what you want to block - some combination of blue light,
ultraviolet A and B, and glare - what the wearer will tolerate
and |
if other lenses, perhaps to correct near-sightedness or
far-sightedness - are involved. And in martial arts there is
always the |
concern with correct accessories that look stylish. We are
primarily concerned with lessening seizures and secondarily
concerned |
with headaches (although we think they are often related to
seizures), squinting and so on. A teaching challenge is that such
eyewear |
makes it difficult to use the appearance of the student's eyes
as a diagnostic. |
