In all professional military services an oath is taken to defend the country. Just because an enemy cannot be seen does not make it any less deadly. As militaries are very experienced at training large numbers of people quickly, they represent a key resource for countries threatened by attackers such as Ebola. This can translate into building and securing clinics and laboratories; providing transport and even arranging for burials. Very tough drill.
